It won’t be long into the 2007-08 NBA season before the Raptors renew hostilities with Vince Carter and the New Jersey Nets and see the new Boston Celtics.
After a Halloween opening to the regular season at home against Philadelphia on Wednesday, Oct. 31, the Raptors play in New Jersey on Friday, Nov. 2 and host Boston at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, Nov. 4.
The Raptors will also return to American network television this season; ESPN is scheduled to broadcast a game between Toronto and Detroit from the Air Canada Centre on Friday, Jan. 4.
Other schedule highlights:
Morris Peterson may be able to host a New Year’s Eve party for his old friends; Toronto is at New Orleans on Dec. 31 and the Hornets aren’t in Toronto until March 30.
They won’t be home for the holidays. A four-game trip against the Clippers, Portland, Seattle and Phoenix ends Dec. 23, and the Raptors are back out after the break to San Antonio, Houston and New Orleans starting Dec. 28.
No. 1 draft pick Greg Odon and the Portland Trail Blazers are in Toronto Sunday, Jan. 13, and No. 2 pick Kevin Durant and Seattle visit the Raptors March 9.
December could be a difficult month, of 16 games, 11 are on the road, including the seven-game trip broken up by Christmas.
