I remember four years ago, me and new buddy/co-worker Bruce were talking about Wonderday. He said it would be awesome to build a website for it, and I was like Hell YA! We had no idea exactly what was going to be there, but all I wanted was a place to promote the coolest day on earth (seriously, it is). As we went along, he mentioned that it would be neat to add a blog to the site. I was like, “sure”, but really had no idea what the heck a blog was. Anyhoo, over the years the site had transitioned, and while the Events were the icing on our cake, the blog really became our foundation…

Being web-nerds as we were, it was our way to spread all the cool things we found while surfing the world wide internet, or just our thoughts on things – without annoying anyone with an email or instant message. You came to the site when you wanted. Of course I don’t need to remind you all what a blog is, as since we’ve started this little site… something like a cagillion blogs have been started all over the world. Heck, a co-worker’s cat even has a blog.

Anyhoo, the point is that this little site means a heck of a lot to me, which I only found out when it was almost taken away. I all of a sudden had no reason to scour the web, and I felt rather out-of-the-loop accordingly. There was no new music to share, there were no sexy photos to post, no news stories to break, and no trailers to watch. In a world of change, Wonderday.ca was a constant… and I’m thrilled to have it back.

So I just wanted to say THANKS SO MUCH to Bruce for his efforts in getting my baby back up. Amidst his own baby-mania, his efforts couldn’t be more appreciated than they are. In case you are wondering, the site was hacked (or attacked or whatever), and Bruce had to pretty much start from scratch with a less-than-helpful hosting company being absolutely useless. As you can see, the site looks a little different, and will most likely be changing some more (yes – the music player will be back, especially the new Kid Cudi album!), so stay tuned for that.

Otherwise it’s status quo now that we’re back, so let’s get on to the WonderParty… my personal favs to get started are listening to the new Aqua track, and checking out Kate Beckinsdale’s vid. Man, the category ‘Because I Can” just took on a whole new meaning. From now on everything is being posted… BECAUSE I CAN.
