Shared Propulsion Car is a project by Montreal artist Michel de Broin, exhibited at Mercer Union gallery in Toronto. An ’86 Buick Regal stripped of its engine, suspension, transmission and electrical system and outfitted with 4 independent pedal and gear mechanisms. The vehicle retains the illusion of the mass-produced luxury automobile, but is reduced to a shell that now has a top speed of 15km per hour.
My cousin Jenny has been in New York for the past 4 months working on Macy’s windows. Check out the detail they put into their windows for Christmas. This is awesome!
Window #1: Santa making preparations
Window #2: Jack Frost helps out
Window #3: Santa heads into space
Window #4: Santa flying above the Northern and Southern hemisphere
Window #5: Santa arrives in New York at the front of Macy’s

On Saturday Chantelle had to go into work because of an experiment she was working on had to be changed or something something.. (I swear I listen to her, but on this occasion, I usually can’t make out what she says when describing her work).. Anyways, we went down to her office and while she was doing her thing, I did mine…take photos! The office to her was her playground to create, experiment and do science.. to me, it was an amazing place to photograph! All those bottles and tubes! It was great getting a reaction from Chantelle when looking through this set of photos, because to her, she looks at these things all the time, but for me, it was a first to photograph. Take a look through the photos, and next time you see Chantelle, think of this place and strike up a conversation! She doesn’t just do craft, but does all sorts of crazy mad scientist stuff at work.. Compare this to your work office.. it makes my head spin when I think of our new office digs.. or as us interactive folk like to call it now.. ‘the call centre’
The photo above is a ‘centrofuge’.. I think i spelt it correctly.. It spins and makes weird noises.. I liked it because it was fun to photograph, but I think there is a chemistry purpose for it.
Enjoy!
This 3-D street art painted on a completely flat stretch of road is so realistic I think I would have a case of vertigo if I tried to walk over it. As you can see from the picture, these two mischievous tourists had no such misgivings. Edgar Müller & Manfred Stader are the creative masterminds behind it, and an excerpt about the piece can be found on their site.
“Turning Riverstreet into a river†is the largest 3d-street-painting ever done. About 280 m² are covered with paint. Edgar Müller was again invited to Moose Jaw Prairie Arts Festival (2007) to paint together with local artists.”

Some of you know her from our hockey team, The DA.. some of you out there know her from acting, or perhaps your sewing class.. For those who don’t know her, this is Natalie Harris! We got together last weekend to take some new head shot photos. We wandered around the back alleys and came across some stunning backdrops for these photos. Take a look through the set on my flickr site and hire this actress damn it!
Bike Ride – 2007_09_23

The weather was great and so was the bike ride! I decided to head north on Sunday to see what the trees and fields would look like as they started to turn golden and brown. I was about to turn back when I noticed this smaller street with great colour and trees, so I headed up it not knowing where it would take me. Soon enough I found out that it was a really small road, that eventually headed over the 401. Just before I crossed the highway, I came across 2 massive corn fields with a few rows of hydro towers heading off into Toronto! I finally decided to turn back and by the time I got home my legs were very tired..all in all the trip was about 3 hours (including me stopping to take photos) Take a look through the set!
