Maverick is Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster! Traveling over 4,450 feet of steel tubular track, riders will feel the excitement as their train ascends up a 105-foot lift hill, propelled by linear synchronous motors. From the top, the train will drop 100 feet at an astonishing 95-degree angle! Throughout the experience, riders on Maverick will be treated to low-to-the-ground maneuvers, three inversions and a second launch that will send each train through a dark tunnel at speeds of 70 mph!

Cedar Point stunned thrill-seekers yet again in 2003 with the debut of the park’s unprecedented 16th, yes, 16th, roller coaster – Top Thrill Dragster. Reaching a stratospheric 420 feet tall and topping out at an unheard of speed of 120 mph, this new steel screamer helped Cedar Point reclaim the title of owning the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the universe.
Riders begin their epic journey aboard this whopping 42-story screamer by securing themselves into ultra-cool trains that resemble top fuel dragsters. The train then moves into a “starting line” position, where it is launched forward, reaching 120 mph in approximately four seconds. The train then zooms straight up the 420-foot-tall hill on track that rotates 90 degrees, crests the coaster’s apex and then free falls back to Earth. But hold on, this isn’t your father’s roller coaster. As the train races 400 feet to the ground, the track twists an unbelievable 270 degrees – what a rush! Riders then return to the station to begin regaling their friends with stories of the greatest ride of their lives.
Designed by world-renowned coaster manufacturer Intamin AG of Wollerau, Switzerland, Top Thrill Dragster is located directly between two other Cedar Point legends: the Magnum XL-200 and Millennium Force roller coasters. Top Thrill Dragster was voted an impressive No. 10 in the 2006 Golden Ticket awards for the “Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World” category. Riders must be at least 52 inches tall to ride Top Thrill Dragster.

What else can possibly be said? Cedar Point took the roller coaster record book to new heights and speeds in 2000 with the addition of the epic Millennium Force. Termed a “giga-coaster” for its extreme height, this colossal coaster looms an incredible 310 feet above the ground and reaches a top speed of 93 mph! Millennium Force destroyed 10 world records when it debuted in the first year of the new millennium. In 2006, Millennium Force was voted No. 2 in the “Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World” category in a poll conducted by Amusement Today.
Millennium Force takes its passengers over 6,595 feet of steel track that includes 310-, 169- and 182-foot-tall hills, two dark tunnels and two 122-degree overbanked turns.
The $25 million Millennium Force gave 1,641,545 guests a ride on one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world in 2006. In its seven-year history, nearly 12 million guests have gone “full force” on Millennium Force. Guests must be at least 48 inches tall to ride.

You spin. You whirl. You rock. You roll. What is it??!! It’s Chaos – a triple-spinning thrill ride that opened at Cedar Point amusement park/resort in 1997. Rated the “Best New Product for a Major Amusement Park Ride” at the time it was introduced at the Annual Convention and Trade Show of the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA), Chaos is the latest in a new generation of midway spinning rides. Chaos’ three-dimensional rocking, rolling and rotating motion with a spinning/tilting platform whirls riders in a 360-degree movement that turns sideways, upside down and every way but right side up. You won’t know where you are!
In ten years, Chaos has given nearly 5 million rides. In 2006, 340,351 guests rocked and rolled on Chaos. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall.

The Dodgem bumper-car ride has been a staple at Cedar Point since 1970. Riders drive in electrically powered cars inside a rectangular “pen” and frequently bump into each other. The Dodgem is located near the Good Time Theatre and stands on the site of the old C.P. & L.E. Railroad station.

Ride the rough seas! Ocean Motion is a 43-foot-long steel and fiberglass boat that rocks its passengers forward and backward through the air. The boat is attached to four steel uprights that make the ride look and feel like a giant swing set. As Ocean Motion picks up speed, riders begin to experience a weightlessness sensation. The tip of the boat swings to a towering height of 65 feet.
