Wonderday is proud to announce that we made a donation today to the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of those who optionally donated money at BBL09 and at our Vase Party. It’s always good to give back, and we will continue to build upon the couple hundred dollars we’ve raised in 2009, to eventually getting our goal to $1,000 annually. Thanks again for all those who helped make a difference…

Can you believe it… TOMORROW is WonderXmas! But have you been naughty or nice? The only real way to tell is to see what Surly Santa gives ya. I see him buying a lot of coal already (among other things), so that must mean it’s been a very naughty year… which means it’s gonna be a fun night.

North Pole (Wonder Press): Surly Santa has had to curb his spending habits since the onset of the global financial downturn; he no longer buys Dom on a whim.
The world’s most famous toymaker is said to be worth an estimated $405 million (£270 million), but he admits he has lost a fortune in the economic crisis, and has become much more careful about splashing out on extravagant items.
He says, “The credit crunch has hit the North Pole. I used to buy diamonds on a very regular basis. But now I am selling my old stuff before I get something new. These are times when you learn about the value of money.
Sure, I lost a few million but that’s because I have so much. I mean, who else can fly around the world (drunk) in one night, while keeping Mrs. Clause happy in the back seat.
“This is a time that will sort the strong from the weak. Any businessman who wants a piece of the future should learn from me.”
The holly jolly (drunk bastard) also insists even the U.S. president could learn from him: “Obama is great – if he wants me as his financial adviser, that would be cool.”
But regardless of Surly Santa’s self-confidence, those who have seem him recently have noted he’s in worse shape than he’s let on. Cristal has been replaced by Colt 45, and it’s even been rumoured that he sold his suit on ebay, and stole his new one from a bum.
There are even reports from his neighbours that he drove into a Candy Cane tree last weekend and was found sleeping outside his sleigh. Rumours have it that Mrs. Clause looked on his RedBerry and found calls from unanimous female elves. Santa was later sporting some unexplained bruises, but cited the reasoning was the accident… although many believe otherwise.
These are trying times indeed, but seeing Surly Santa even surlier has really brought things to perspective. Now the world is anxiously awaiting his red carpet arrival at this weekend’s exclusive WonderXmas event… so we can all see if he’s really become a Surly Recession Santa, or just the normal Surly bastard we’ve all come to know and love.
The only way to find out yourself is to be at WonderXmas this Saturday. Ho Ho Ho!

Is this really Surly Santa?
Can you believe it… it’s only FOUR days til WonderXmas! But have you been naughty or nice? The only real way to tell is to see what Surly Santa gives ya on December 12th. I see him buying a lot of coal already, so that must mean it’s been a very naughty year… which means it’s gonna be a fun night.
