First Look – Kanye on Cleveland Show

Kanye West has kept a fairly low profile in recent months, but soon you’ll be able to catch him — or at least his animated alter ego — in the May 2 episode of Fox’s Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show. You can see the first official image of West’s guest spot in the new issue of EW, on stands today, or check it out right here in this post. In the episode, the rap megastar voices a 19-year-old local hero named, er, Kenny West, who gets into a lopsided rhyme battle with the show’s Cleveland Brown, Jr. over the affections of a young woman who’s voiced by Taraji P. Henson.

OMG… In the September issue of Playboy, Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane says that Stewie, he of the sexy parties, vaguely British accent and, in one episode, a girlfriend…is a homosexual. Bah!

That’s pretty much like making an announcement that Mel likes boys…. because everyone already knows that.

‘Family Guy’ abortion episode table read

Posted by Moondoggy | Posted in Family Guy | No Comments » | Posted on August 13th, 2009

The cast of the Emmy-nominated “Family Guy” performed a live table read of their controversial abortion episode for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on Wednesday night.

Though creator Seth MacFarlane assured the crowd the content wasn’t as controversial as they might assume, it definitely wasn’t tame (ex.: “If God wanted us to kill babies he would have made them all Chinese girls”).

Below are a trio of exclusive clips from the table read, which had the audience rolling. The cast took the stage along with a full orchestra, which played accompaniment as Seth and Co. performed songs during the act breaks. The read was also being shot by “Family Guy” producer 20th TV for inclusion on next season’s DVD package, which is also expected to have the completed abortion episode that Fox broadcast has refused to air.

After the clips, there’s an interview with MacFarlane talking about the episode and the controversy.

Oh! The setup: Lois agrees to be a surrogate mother for another couple — who then die in a car crash.

The rest after the jump.

Fox has decided not to broadcast a “Family Guy” episode next season that deals with abortion.

The episode, which is titled “Partial Terms of Endearment,” was produced by sister company 20th TV.

Fox released this statement moments ago:

“Fox will not air the ‘Partial Terms of Endearment’ episode of ‘Family Guy,’ but we fully support the producers’ right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they want.”

The episode came to light when producers talked about the plans on the show’s Comic-Con panel.
