This is the finale to end all finales. You will need EVERY SINGLE OUNCE of your HEART & SOUL to truly appreciate this day. So make sure you get lots of rest, as you’ll need ALL the energy you can muster to make it through this day of Wonder!

WonderWear & Tickets

Everyone will get their WDX t-shirt and Wonderland admission ticket before boarding the bus in the morning. Also, please keep the red & white theme in mind… so the more red & white clothing you wear the better (i.e. sweaters, hats, etc.)! NEW! – Random Underwear checks will be issued… if you are not wearing Red undies, penalties await!!

Morning Bus Pick-up:

A reminder that WonderBus transportation is included for ALL WDX attendees

The buses will be departing at 9:00a.m SHARP!

So please arrive BEFORE 8:30a.m to ensure you have ample time to get all your WonderGoodies.

There’s tons of pay-parking around this location, but we highly encourage everyone to either use public transportation and/or crash at someone’s house… as getting wrecked at WonderNight is half the fun… ok, pretty much all the fun :)

If for some (gawd awful) reason you are driving to the park, please contact us immediately to arrange alternative methods for ticket pick-up.

Picture Scavenger Hunt

All attendees will get the Picture Scavenger Hunt list on the morning of. For those of you that have not attended Wonderday before (seriously, what’s wrong with you), and have no idea what the PSH is, I will give you a little breakdown >>> Your PSH team (formed by you the morning of) will get a list of photos and videos to take during the day while at Wonderland. Many items are subject to your interpretation and you’ll need to use your imagination to get the most creative photos and videos you can. Each item is worth a different amount of points, and will be listed as such. Then during WonderNight (at the Fox and Fiddle), bring your camera and/or memory card to a pre-determined location (we’ll let you know where) to upload your mayhem. Then the winner will be announced on www.wonderday.ca after the event. Prizes will follow of course :)

Afternoon Bus Pick-up:

We will be picked up from Wonderland at 5:00p.m SHARP! Please arrive at the pick-up location BEFORE 4:40pm (please plan ride choices & take lines into consideration).

The exact pick-up location will be determined by the bus driver upon drop-off at the park. If you get lost, please give a WD Council Member a call (numbers below), or follow the red-shirts. And please be on-time, as the sooner we get everyone on the buses, the faster we can head to the bar and start drinking!!! =) If you’re not there by 5:00pm, adios! The Finale waits for no one :)

WonderNight has some incredible things planned yet again, at its old stomping grounds at the Fox & Fiddle!

We’re welcoming back the infamous Richard Hong to dabble in some WonderKaraoke, plus we welcome Nights & Weekends to help us end the night in style (playing live at 10:00pm)!

Plus we got all kinds of fun surprises revealed throughout the day and night… so bring you’re A-game betches (yes, looking at you)! Because this is gonna be LEGEN. wait for it… DARY!

And don’t fill up on all the complimentary Finger Foods, as you’ll need all the stomach space you can spare… for booze :)

Weather

For the FIRST-TIME EVER… the forecast looks AMAZING for Wonderday. The high is 23, with an amazing low of 14… which makes the isolated showers (less than 5mm) look like child’s play! But as always, the weather forecast for Wonderday changes daily… so please make sure to monitor the weather reports to ensure you are dressed appropriately. As we’re still celebrating WDX in the rain, shine, tornado, or hurricane.

Only going to WonderNight? You’re admission to the official After-Party at the Fox & Fiddle is your WDX t-shirt, which can be picked up at the Fox starting at 6pm. Simply check-in with your WDX Contact, put on your red shirt, and then start partying. Yes, it is that easy.

Now that we finally have a 2009 Picture Scavenger Hunt Champion, we can now focus on the epic Finale. We’ll be adding hints here as we go for WonderX’s PSH Challenge… so check back here often, and get ready for the Finale to end all Finales.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our ultimate showdown is complete, and we now have a 2009 Picture Scavenger Hunt Champion.

Last year it ended in a tie, and after thousands of votes, a broken website, and trash talk galore… it all came down to this.

The captains of Team WonderNorth and Team RearEnders were been given their mission to re-create 9 items from the PSH09 List (wherever and however they want).

Scoring Criteria was as follows:

* 1 Point for Each Photo Collected
* 1 Point for Each “Best Of” photo (judged head-to-head)
* Tie-Break One – Group that has the most amount of members participate (max of 6 to match WonderNorth group)
* Tie-Break Two – Group whom submits all their photos first.

Here’s how they did:

PSH09 Photo 1: Piggyback or get Piggy-Backed by a stranger (above)
Team WonderNorth wins this one, simply by getting it done at a TFC game. Although we do like how the Team Rear Enders’ dude is still drinking a beer. Still, 1-0 WonderNorth!

Rear Enders has some man-love going on with the BK dude, while WonderNorth seduces a cardboard cut-off of an Avatar… Rear Enders tie things up at 1-1.

PSH09 Photo 3: A Very Bad Idea
WonderNorth tries to drown a cute little dog down the toilet, which would be enough for the category win IF Team Rear Enders weren’t smoking and drinking while driving. Rear Enders take the lead at 2-1.

PSH09 Photo 4: Kiss Mark(s) from someone wearing RED lipstick
WonderNorth = Cute. Rear Enders = Good Times. Rear Enders take a 3-1 lead.

That really is the cutest dog EVER. WonderNorth back in it, 2-3.

Both teams chose to invade a male washroom. One’s at the door, while the other is at the urinal. Rear Enders lead 4-2.

A Giant Beer usually wins, but not to a giant Rhino. Rear Enders still lead 5-2.

WonderNorth cheated using an old photo, while the BK dude got busy. Rear Enders are gliding to the finish line, up 6-2.

PSH09 Photo 9: Make a Work of Art
Last but not least, both teams had to make a work of art. While it’s clear by now who won, it’s worth noting that WonderNorth won this final category… which they’ve aptly titled “a WDX prophecy”. I think they almost knew defeat was imminent in this challenge, but this photo clearly be fighting words yo!!!

Congratulations TEAM REAR ENDERS on being the 2009 Picture Scavenger Hunt Champions!!

But enjoy it while it lasts, as someone is coming for your crowns in a mere couple days (and I hear they may be coming from the North).
